Introduction to Swimming

Have a passion for sailing, but don't know how to swim. Don't worry. Water is your friend. Per request, we will teach you how to swim in no time. Just ask us at the clubhouse and we'll get started right away.

Tips for Novices

Sailing is a wonderful sport that can provide you with a lifetime of entertainment. Don't worry if you haven't tried sailing before, there is plenty of on-hand help, guidance, and instruction at the Dome Marina Sailing Centre.

If you are going sailing in cold conditions, or even if the weather is warm but the water is cold, wear a wet or a dry suit. If you don't own a wet suit, don't worry, you don't need special clothing as a beginner. Wear something that is comfortable.Tracksuits or jogging-style trousers are ideal with tee-shirts, sweatshirts or fleeces. It will always feel cooler on the water, so it is a good idea to bring an extra layer.

A change of clothes is also not a bad idea - just in case. Of course, you will be provided with a life-jacket.
