Ain Sokhna is a wonderful place to sail away the day. The beach is only 150 kilometres, or about an hour and a half drive from Cairo. Click for Map and Directions. How to get here Marina Wadi el Dome is located 150 kilometres to the east and south of Cairo, and you can drive here in less than 90 minutes along the Katameya Road. The sailing centre is accessed through Gate 1, or to the Dome Restaurant. If you don’t have your own car or are not up for renting one, hopping on a bus is easy enough. From Almaza Station in Cairo (Tel: +2 (02) 419-8533), take a bus to Suez where you can catch a microbus for a short ride to Ein Sokhna. Go Bus Transport from Abdel Moneim Riad Square in Downtown, Cairo. The bus will drop you at Porto Sukhna which is located just across the street from Wadi el Dome Marina.
