 Sailing Fever hits Marina Wadi el Dome: DMSC Sailing Fleet Grows
Our membership continues to grow and our beginner sailors are no longer beginners. We have seven members that are ordering the Topaz sailboat. DMSC fleet is getting a great start. Regattas start as soon as the boats arrive.
If you are interested in purchasing a Topaz, please let us know.
The Topaz Sailing System delivers versatility without compromise. It has a wide range of rig options from simple singlehander right through to new generation gennaker sailing. Topaz can be sailed by almost everyone.

First Spring Water Sports Expo 2010 excites & delights
Egypt’s first Spring Water Sports Expo was a crowd-pleasing success. The wind cooperated to give kitesurfers, windsurfers and sailors the ultimate sporting experience. The beach-side crowd was held spellbound as Yann from Fun-Kite, Safaga, entertained us with jumps, twists and turns as he kitesurfed the beautiful turquoise waters of Marina Wadi el Dome. Sherifa Ashraf, Egypt’s three times National Sailing Champion buzzed the waters with speed and agility in a Pico Laser, Topper Topaz, and the Topper Magno.
Expo vendors had plenty of water sports equipment to choose for all day entertainment. Visitors were excited to be able to try their turn with sea kayaks, several types of sailing boats and small catamarans. Vision Trading had plenty of sea kayaks and exciting water sports equipment for visitors to play when the winds were calmer.
In no time, it was the participants that ruled the waters and entertained us with their spills and successes. Spectators enjoyed beachside seats, sipped cool drinks and exchanged stories.
As the khamasin weather persists to heat us up and then chill us down, many of the show visitors were excited to find a variety of neoprene wetsuits, tops and bottoms. Distribution Red Sea brought their collection of water sports clothing and accessaries that are designed for water sporting.

Introductory Sailing Lessons
Every Friday from 1PM to 3:30PM at the Dome Marina Sailing Centre, we are offering Introductory to Sailing lessons.
It’s really easier to learn how to sail than you may think. We'll teach you the basics of sailing, handling the boat, turning and stopping, and leaving and returning to the shore.
This is a great opportunity to try out this exciting and fun sport. The fee for Introductory lessons are
250LE. Fee includes life jacket rental, boat rental, and sailing theory lesson. If you choose to enroll for the complete course of eight sessions, the introductory fee will be advanced towards the course cost.
Please RSVP to the Centre since spaces are limited. For groups please email us the details of your group (age, and number) so that we can arrange for additional instructors.
